• There are 2 immunosuppressives available for the first 6 months of treatment:

  –Cytoxan: the generic name is cyclophosphamide 

  –Cellcept: the generic name is mycophenolate

• You and your doctor will choose which medication to start for the first 6 months.
• After 6 months, almost all patients take Cellcept. 
• Treatment usually lasts for 3-5 years.
