Coping with Stomach Problems

  • Eat a balanced diet. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of clear fluids.
  • Avoid foods that trigger upset stomach (i.e., beans, bananas, carbonated beverages, cabbage, cauliflower).
  • Fructose and sorbitol can also cause bloating and diarrhea.
  • Antacids may offer relief.
  • If needed, your doctor can prescribe medicine for these side effects.
