Coping with Hair Changes
If you find that your hair is starting to thin out, you can:
- Get a haircut. A short, layered cut can help your hair look fuller.
- Avoid washing your hair too often.
- Avoid hair coloring, perms and harsh shampoos.
- Use mild products and keep your hair well-conditioned and moisturized.
- Allow your hair to fall naturally. Teasing, braiding, and weaving can cause more breakage.
- Minimize the use of hair dryers, curling irons and rollers.
- Protect your hair from the sun by wearing a hat.
